Willow Grove Naval Air Base - Official Map

About this project

Horsham Township is adopting an official map for the former Willow Grove Naval Air Station site. The map marks where future public roads, trails, open space, stormwater facilities and utilities should go, so the township or its redevelopment authority can later acquire those lands. The Montgomery County Planning Commission generally supports the map, with suggested wording changes for trails and a reference term.

Issues raised: trail language should include bicycles, not only pedestrian trails, 'pedestrian ways' wording could be broadened to multipurpose pathways, 'Component Map (3)' is referenced but not used elsewhere in the ordinance or map
